Hello lovelies! I’s beautifully sunny in Scotland at the moment (for a change) so I thought it was the perfect time to finally make this post! I’ve been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award and I’m so grateful. It means a lot when I get nominated for things like this because it means I’m not completely failing at this blogging business haha.
Anyway, a big shoutout to Shannon over at Captivated~by~Fantasy for nominating me for this award. Please go check out her blog, it is a solid 10/10 🙂
- Thank the people/person who nominated you.
- Answer the questions from your nominators.
- Nominate eleven other bloggers and give them eleven questions.
Who is your ultimate OTP?
To be honest… I basically ship everyone who is in love in books because they tend to be cute together. But if I had to choose one then it’s going to have to be, predictably, Will and Tessa. I’ve explained my love for the Shadowhunter Chronicles so many times I feel like I bore all of you lol. So yes, Will is my fave and I’m majorly excited for Cassandra Clare to write her Last Hours series so we get more of this wonderful couple and their family 🙂 ➰
What is your favourite book trilogy?
Oh for God’s sake. I hate myself but of course it’s The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare haha. I can feel your judgement through the screen (I’m sorry, I’m Shadowhunter trash ➰).
Do you prefer wearing jeans or skirt/dresses?
Skinny jeans all the way! Actually, if you ever see me out of jeans then something very strange is going on. Or I’m on the way to a wedding or something of the such.
What is your favourite movie?
To be honest, I love a lot of movies and don’t have a proper clear favourite. Whenever anyone asks me this question though, I always just say the original Footloose because it’s such a feel good film with a good old bit of teenagers’ sticking it to the man (plus, young Kevin Bacon).
What is/was your favourite subject at school?
When I was at school my favourite subjects were Business and English. I preferred business a bit more because I absolutely adored my teacher for that subject, but I had a natural flair for both and enjoyed the actual work a lot 🙂
If you could visit one place in the world, where would it be?
Well, my brother has lived out in Melbourne, Australia for about four years now and I haven’t been out to visit him yet. Apparently the best time to go to Oz is January because that’s the high of their summer but I’ve always had school (and now uni) on at that time so I haven’t actually been able to visit. I’d love to go out there though and will do one day – I’m even considering doing my international exchange in Australia.
What is your favourite piece of makeup?
I was going to say mascara because my eyes definitely need it to make them look more awake but I think my actual favourite is probably foundation. I used to have really bad acne in high school so covering up the scarring from that with foundation makes me feel more confident when I’m out and about 🙂
Why did you start blogging?
The real reason I started blogging is because I love books (duh) and had literally no one to fangirl with about them. It’s such a shame but none of my friends share my enthusiasm about books and usually just tell me to shut up when I start rambling on but with my blog… I get to talk to all of you lovely people about our shared interest (which is a lot of fun, may I add) 🙂
What is your favourite shop?
Hmm… probably Top Shop because that’s where I buy all of my jeans from but I do also really love Urban Outfitters. I hardly ever buy anything in UO because their stuff is so expensive but I still like wandering in and having a nosey around.
Where do you find inspiration for your blog?
I get inspiration from a lot of different places. The main one is probably other bloggers. I like seeing what they’re doing with their blog, what they’re currently reading and if they’re doing any fun little tags or awards (like this one) which I can take part in. I also get inspiration from my favourite BookTubers because they’re always so excited and positive which makes me feel really good and productive about my blog.
Are you a minimalistic or a collector?
I think I’m a bit of both. I love seeing those pictures on Instagram of super minimal bedrooms (you know the ones I’m talking about – everything white or black, polaroids lining the walls and odd plants or cactus’ in the corner) but whenever I try to de-clutter my room there is still an abundance of items. So yeah, a bit of both 🙂
This is the type of bedroom I’m talking about (Shim is a friend of mine from uni so definitely go give her a follow on Insta, her feed is stunning):
