Tag: The Harry Potter Book Tag

Hey everyone! How you doing? I don’t feel like I talk about Harry Potter enough on this blog, but luckily I’ve been tagged to do The Harry Potter Book Tag which I’m super excited about πŸ™‚

I was tagged to do this by the lovely Shannon over at Captivated~by~Fantasy, definitely go check out her blog because she’s lovely and her posts are great!

A book that you found interesting but would like to rewrite

Paper Towns by John Green

I thought the premise of this story was quite interesting, and that the idea of a road trip would be fun. But it was just so boring in the middle! I almost didn’t finish it, believe it or not. So I’d definitely rewrite this to make it more fast paced and excited (I thought the movie was way better though).

The first book in a series that got you hooked

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Talk about a throw back. I didn’t read many books when I was younger and then Twilight came along XD Like everyone, this book completely drew me in and I fell in love with the whole series #TwiHard

A book that you wish you could have right now

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

I NEED THE NEXT INSTALLMENT OF THE DARK ARTIFICES LIKE RIGHT NOW. I don’t want to wait for it any longer :(((((((((((((((((((((( Ps. Since the cover of LoS isn’t out yet, I’ve inserted a little gif showcasing my excitement about this book.

 Avada Kedavra

A killer book

Vicious by V.E. Schwab

Haha, literally a KILLER book. This is one of my favourite reads of the year, it definitely packs a punch! The characters are great and the storyline is fantastic πŸ™‚

A book you find confusing

My Favourite Manson Girl by Alison Umminger

Okay, I didn’t actually find this one too confusing. I’ve never genuinely been perplexed whilst reading a book, but this one definitely made me think about a lot of things.

 Expecto Patronum

Your spirit animal book

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Cath will probably always be the literary character I’m most like – we do have some differences, but I love her and Rainbow endlessly. This book is definitely my spirit animal, meow.

A dark, twisted book

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

Okay, so I clearly haven’t read many dark or twisted books since I’m answering this question with Lady Midnight. However, there were many times whilst reading this that I was genuinely scared for the characters and some points this story got incredibly dark … and creepy.

A book that surprised you in a great way

Passenger by Alexandra Bracken

I had heard a lot about this book before I picked it up, but I hadn’t read many time travel books beforehand so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I absolutely loved it though! The writing was great and it’s definitely made me want to buy more books by Alexandra Bracken.

I Nominate…

I loved doing this tag, it was a lot of fun πŸ™‚ Hope you all liked it and feel free to do this yourself, even if I haven’t tagged you!

  2. Nice tag! Harry potter was what set me readingπŸ˜‚
One other time-travelling book I loved was Audrey Niffleneger’s The Time traveller’s wife.
    Of course,the genre isn’t huge..but still☺

  3. Hi Shannon! Thank you for stopping by and for liking my post. I love this post, btw. I haven’t read Lady Midnight yet because I haven’t finished reading TMI & TID yet but I’m hearing good reviews about it. I really need to read them all and also Vicious.

      1. It’s easy to find books in bookdepository but they’re too expensive. Some paperbacks costs too much that I can buy the hardcover copy of that certain book in my local bookstore on the same price. πŸ˜’ If only my bookstore is as fully stocked like the bookstores in the US & Europe. 😒

  4. I love with a capital “L” Fangirl too! I think she’s so relatable and I think she feels a lot like we all do: We care so much about the people around us, but they seem fine with leaving us behind.

      1. Haha I think they made the movie so that people who didn’t know the book or didn’t like it as much would enjoy it. I found it okays because I loved the book so much and they cut out a lot of the book’s philosophy. But oh well, that’s how movie adaptions are. πŸ™‚ And John Green really likes the movie, so I’m fine with it too!
